A season for change

Colorful leaves. Apple picking. Chilly mornings. Pumpkin spice EVERYTHING! Fall is officially in the air.

Fall is the best season to consider changing up your skincare routine and treatment options to help prepare your skin for the harsh winter months ahead.

SKINCARE

  1. Cleanser

Switch to a Hydrating Cleanser: Choose a gentle, hydrating cleanser that doesn’t strip your skin of its natural oils.

  2. Exfoliation

Exfoliate Weekly: Use a mild exfoliant to remove dead skin cells and improve texture. In fall, you may want to switch to a gentler scrub or a chemical exfoliant.

  3. Toner

Opt for Hydrating Toners: Choose a toner that hydrates and soothes.

  4. Serum

Incorporate a Hydrating Serum: Use serums with ingredients like hyaluronic acid to boost moisture levels and combat dryness.

  5. Moisturizer

Upgrade to a Richer Moisturizer: Switch to a more emollient moisturizer to provide extra hydration and protect your skin barrier.

  6. Sunscreen

Continue Using Sunscreen: Even on the cloudiest of days, UV rays can still damage your skin. Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher daily.

  7. Lip Care

Keep Lips Moisturized: Use a hydrating lip balm to prevent chapping and keep your lips soft.

  8. Retinoids

Don’t forget your Vitamin A: Nightly use of retinoids can help improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne and hyperpigmentation, but it is DRYING! Remember, moisturizer is your friend!

Just a tip! Be sure to consider your skin’s specific needs. If your skin is particularly dry or sensitive, you might need to adjust your routine accordingly.

TREATMENTS

  1. Chemical Peels: These treatments exfoliate the skin and can help with issues like pigmentation, fine lines, and texture.

  2. Microneedling: This procedure stimulates collagen production, improving skin texture and reducing the appearance of scars.

  3. Broad Band Light/Laser Treatments: BBL treatments target UV damage, hyperpigmentation, broken capillaries and redness. Skin resurfacing treatments, such as Halo and Moxi, target fine lines, wrinkles, pores, texture and scarring. Fall is a great time to start treating with BBL or lasers due to minimal sun exposure, which is important when undergoing treatment.

  4. Hydrafacials: These are hydrating facials that cleanse, exfoliate, and infuse your skin with serums. They’re perfect for replenishing moisture and giving your skin a glow as the air gets drier.

  5. Facial Masks: Consider adding a deep moisturizing mask to your facial to nourish your skin and counteract the dryness that can come with cooler weather.

  6. Injectables: Always great in any season! We offer Botox, Dysport and Daxxify along with an array of HA fillers and biostimulators to help maintain a youthful appearance.

Our injectors and aestheticians would love to have you come in for a consult, to discuss your skin needs and determine a skincare and/or treatment plan that is individualized and specific to your aesthetic goals!
